If you’re not already a member of the Motel Luca email list, please take a moment to sign up below. Being on the list is the only way to get weekly reminders about sign up and to find out if you have been selected for one of the shows.

How the Mic Works
It is an open mic in the sense that anyone can throw their name into the hat and the lineup is picked via a random number generator, courtesy of random.org. However, the hat is online, and you throw your name into it via the sign up form above. Sign up begins Wednesday at noon and closes on Saturday at noon. The cast list is sent out on Sunday.

Cost
The mic is free but there is a 1 drink minimum.  You must buy a drink in order to sign in, whether you are booked or standby.

Arrival Policy
At 10 minutes after the start of each show, your booked spot turns into a standby spot.

Standby Policy
If you don’t make the list, come on down early and try for a standby spot. Cast sign-in and standby sign-up is 30 minutes before the start of each show. (Standby spots are first come, first served as time permits.)

Cancellation Policy
If you find that you do have to cancel, please do it right away, so we can recycle your slot. No cancel, no show: no service for a while.
