Sarahcuda: 7,000 Alaskans Can’t Be Wrong

The Christian Right (read: wrong) are coming out with what will probably be a nearly completely non-factual book about Sarah Palin. Well, sadly, they were beaten to the punch.

'Weekend Author' Kayla LeBeau talks about America’s favorite Vice-Presidential pageant contestant.

Is the fake excitement about Palin the media is generating really warranted?

Hint: this post's titular question is rhetorical.

So look, if you and 30 of your friends couldn't make it to the Republican National Convention last week to mount a sold-out politically-themed comedy show hosted by Daily Show creator Lizz Winstead, well, I don't know what to say except that I'm very disappointed in you. You could have at least tried.

Fortunately for you, Carol and I were able to do just that.

Here's a live news report in which Chuck Woodmore (Benari Poulten) interviews a Palin conventioneer (Kevin Janus) live in Minneapolis.

Notice the gentleman in the back holding a funny sign? Yeah...I think that guy's pretty neat, too.

Shoot The Messenger's "GIVE TO THE WAR" PSA with Sarah Silverman

Sarah Palin: former sportscaster, current VP nom

If you're the sort of person who watches a speech and becomes excited by a particular candidate without knowing much about that person or their service, except that they just said exactly what you wanted to hear...

...and if you're the sort of person who found themselves excited by Sarah Palin, I ask of you two things.

1. Stop.

2. Stop.

If you haven't read it yet, here's an even-handed letter written by a Wasilla native (who attended Wasilla city council meetings consistently for years and who has voted for Sarah in the past) about what having Palin in office in America's least densely populated state was actually like: Budget surplus turned into huge debt, staffs composed only of those completely beholden to her and her whims so horrible decisions go unvetted and unchallenged, doesn't believe in Global Warming, doesn't believe in regulation, does believe in bailing out companies that act irresponsibly (ahem, Fannie and Freddie)...

Sound familiar?

And don't forget, McCain is not in good health nor is he young. Palin is next in line.
If you vote for McCain/Palin...you are voting for this person as President by proxy:

So I ask one last thing of you in case you're thinking of voting for McCain/Palin. I think you know what it is.

3. Stop.
