CUTEST PUPPY IN THE UNIVERSE OR JUST EARTH?

A few days ago when what is probably the last snowstorm of the season arrived, I had the honor, the privilege of walking the dog that most people now acknowledge to be the single cutest organism known to humanity, Fenchurch J. Nuisance. Perhaps someday someone stumbling through the Amazon will run across a previously unknown species of unbearably cute South American baby koala-leopard cub-kitten hybrid that will unseat Fenny, but with logging going the way it is, this scenario become less and less likely.

On this single stroll, I was stopped no less than 8 times, 8, by total strangers, all with cameras, few without thick accents, but all very interested in taking a photo of or with Fenny. I knew my puppy was adorable before that walk, but this took it to a whole new level of cute. Now I bring up Fenny's name faster than a Cambridge-transplant drops the "I went to Harvard" bomb.

INT. ELEVATOR - DAY

Two strangers chat amiably about the weather as Sean stands apart, barely listening.

Stranger #1
I don't know. I think it might rain again.

Sean
Did you say rain? You know who looks really cute when she's wet?

Stranger #2
Hanna Montana.

Elevator BING!

Sean
I have to go.

Sean walks out. Doors begin to shut.

Sean
Also my dog Fenny.

Doors are closed.

Stranger #2
You think he'll report that?

Stranger #1
I would.

Mmm. Live and learn.
