CAROL HARTSELL
Carol Hartsell is a writer, producer, director, booker, performer and pants-wearer. She got her start in comedy when she volunteered for an elementary school piano recital, even though she didn’t know how to play (she assumed she would figure it out when she got there). Since then she’s been dedicated to making people laugh uncomfortably.
As the founder of Drink at Work.com, Carol has helmed the site through numerous iterations and designs, always with an eye on creating original comedy as well as drawing attention to the great work of other comedy artists. With that goal in mind, Carol created The Drink at Work Show in 2005, a live showcase of some of the best comedians and musicians in New York. The Drink at Work Show was a downtown favorite for three years, and then spun off into The Shark at Work Show, a powerband-style partnership between DAW and another downtown favorite, The Shark Show.

COREY PANDOLPH
Corey Pandolph decided he wanted to be a syndicated cartoonist at the early age of 5. You see, back then newspapers were king and newspaper cartoonists lived in hillside mansions, sipping martinis, while drawing with saffron-infused ink on gold parchment. What gifted young lad wouldn’t dream of such things?
Fortunately, the Internet age of new media destroyed all the fortunes of those high horses just in time for Corey to attain his dream of cartoon syndication. The syndicated cartoonist of today is no longer on the golf course at noon. He is home, toiling over T-shirt sales and book shipments, all while preparing for his next shift at the Olive Garden. Yes, those lofty dreams of a soft newspaper-wrapped existence have given way to a blinding uncertainty in a snarky future of something mildly resembling “comic strips”.
And Corey Pandolph is right in the smarmy middle of it.
As well as successfully positioning himself as the regular at the end of the bar, Corey Pandolph has penned several comics (Including the Internationally syndicated THE ELDERBERRIES through Universal/Uclick), contributed to major publications (Mad Magazine) and designed logos and websites to pay the heating bill (Con Ed). There are rumors that Corey Pandolph is the Fake Rockstar, but we at Drink at Work refuse to comment on such drivel.

SEAN CRESPO
Sean Crespo began his first career in stand up at the ripe old age of 16, sneaking into Boston after school to perform at the dingy, dank, and delightful Comedy Vault. A few years later, he was one of the first generation of comedians to bring Boston’s best unclubby club, the Comedy Studio, to life. As a safety in case he was simply too talented to be a comedian, Sean trained as an actor at both Emerson College and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, which is in London, and which is better than Yale Drama, Juilliard, and Gary Oldman combined. After moving to L.A. (MISTAKE!), a fire on the lot of a soon to be very famous producer with whom he’d been working on a pilot, put his hopes of success in his 20′s on a crisp, blackened hiatus. So after nearly a four-year hiatus, Sean gratefully returned to stand up and moved to New York City, where he has since become a favorite of audiences and critics alike. A regular on downtown’s best shows, including the underground phenomenon Moonwork and as the co-host of his own hit monthly the Shark At Work Show, Sean performs as often as possible but not half as often as he would like. From Comix in NYC to Punchline in San Francisco, Sean’s steampunky style of humor has quickly found a loyal following devoted to his absurd observations and inane asides.

OUR CONTRIBUTORS
Talented folks who are willing to work for drinks and Circus Peanuts:
NED EHRBAR
Ned Ehrbar is a Los Angeles-based writer who still considers New York home. He is the Hollywood correspondent for a chain of European newspapers, meaning he spends all day watching movies and talking to celebrities in a silly accent. He sucks, right?
ANTHONY DEVITO
Anthony is one of the biggest actor/comedian/writers on the scene today. And by that, he means he’s 6’3″ tall and of a fairly husky build. He’s a native New Yorker, born and raised in Brooklyn. And not “skinny-jeans-my-dad-bought-me-a-condo-in-Greenpoint-so-I-could-collect-rare-vinyl” Brooklyn, either. He’s almost always angry, but he’s a very nice guy and he’s sensitive too.
He’s written comedy for magazines, websites, stage and TV, acted in movies, commercials and TV shows and does stand-up, sketch and improv comedy. He is well-liked, as far as he knows.
