ThoughtWreck™: “Sweetheart, stop that before I ask you to stop again.”

The EPA may sanction BP’s US operations.

May. They may do it.

They’re kinda, sorta thinking they might should do it, but they need to give it a little more thought before they decide on anything.

Let’s put this in perspective. Let’s say BP is a 6-year-old child playing on the playground with his friends. The mothers of the children sit nearby watching them play, occasionally yelling out for one of them to stop doing this or that. BP pees in the sandbox. His mother tells him to stop. He stops. Then, a few minutes later, BP pees on the slide. His mother tells him to stop and asks him why he did that. He says he didn’t mean to and won’t do it again. Then a few minutes later, BP pees on the merry-go-round, the picnic tables, in the sandbox again and on all of his friends. His mother screams for him to stop and says he has to clean up all of the pee. He says ok and then goes to each place he peed, drops his pants, and poops on top of it.

Now at this point, if BP’s mother didn’t snatch him up, smack him on the ass, take him home, ground him for three weeks with no TV, take him to the doctor to see if he has some kind of neurological disorder, AND put herself into therapy to ask if she really should have ever had children in the first place, the other mothers on the playground would consider her the problem, not the unruly peeing and pooping child, and they would consider imposing sanctions on HER.

Now can you imagine how much worse this scenario would be if the other mothers were to find out that the peeing and pooping child were paying his mother to let him pee and poop wherever he pleased? Have you ever seen a mother on a playground disapprove of another mother’s parenting? It’s not pretty. Not at all.

So in conclusion I say, stop having children until you learn to properly curb them…or just curb them.
