Quick Updates Regarding Shows

Hey folks, we've got some great shows coming up at DAW and places elsewhere. This coming Tuesday will be special as our buddies Matt McCarthy and Lucas Held are guest hosting while your regular DAW crew takes a short breather. Here's what they had to say about it:



Guests for the Matt and Lucas-helmed show are Becky Donohue, Adira Amran, Brent Sullivan and awesome sketch group Hot Sauce! Don't miss this show! We'll be back on Tuesday, July 17th when we welcome Tommy Tiernan, Rob Cantrell and Sean O'Conner.

Also next week, don't miss the premiere of Lizz Winstead's new Monday night show at Ace of Clubs, Shoot The Messenger. A live sketch-comedy show incorporating multi-media elements, it gives us the world as seen through the filters of the fictional producers and on-air talent at "24/7" – the worst twenty-four hour cable news network that fiction has to offer. On top of that, each week Lizz will interview a media figure who digs deep and gets it right. This segment kicks off at the July 9th show with radio talk show host, Air American Rachel Maddow, and NYU professor, author and media watch dog Mark Crispin Miller. And finally, on Monday, July 16th, Crash Comedy premieres at Comix featuring Judy Gold, Tom Shillue, Rob Cantrell and more, more, more! If you never caught this show when it was at Stand Up New York, it's high-time you check it out because it's only gotten bigger and better. Here's the drill: the performers get a call 12 hours before the show and get a topic, then they have that day to write a whole new set which they perform that night.
