Just how funny is that Dane Cook, huh? Just how funny is he?!? Once, he got on stage on performed fellatio with his microphone for 12 minutes! Twelve minutes! Then he grunted. Then he did a riff about what it would be like to "make it with a dude." Then he got a three-picture deal and a series on both Comedy Central and HBO.So just how funny is that Dane Cook? The answer is not funny at all. We as a nation die a little inside every time he wakes up. Whenever he opens his mouth another baby stops breathing in its crib. Every time someone buys a Dane Cook CD, goes to a Dane Cook show or even thinks "I like Dane Cook" the Earth moves one mile closer to the sun. Thanks to Dane Cook we will all be burned alive by December.

The Dane Cook backlash is in full force. You guys don't hang with Keith O'Malley or Heather Havrilesky, do you? I sense a trend.
It's not a backlash if you always found him completely abhorrent. Come on. Carlos Mencia and Dane Cook? These are the comedy geniuses of our time? Makes me long for the days of the subtle, dry wit that was Sam Kinison.

Yeah, it's weird that Mencia has his own show on Comedy Central. I've tried to watch it a couple of times, and it's... well, unwatchable.
Hey you guys aren't being fair. Dane Cook and Carlos Mencia aren't comedians, they are doing good work giving motivational speeches to the mentally challenged derelicts of our society.

I had an argument with a friend of mine last week over whether I'd ever heard of Dane Cook before his first mystifying SNL hosting job. We eventually decided that while I'd heard of him I had never seen him.
And that he's not at all funny.

I feel so dirty - My name is Charlie and I own a dane Cook cd. Am I somewhat cleansed by owning Patton O, Dave Cross, Gaffigan and a shitload of Hicks? Or do I need to go thru the full 12 step? just asking. Please dont stone me!!

My dirty little secret is liking Dane Cook. What can I say? Maybe it's so uncool to like Dane Cook, so mainstream to like Dane Cook, that it is in fact COOL and EDGY to like Dane Cook. Has it come full circle that way yet? No? I'd better keep it to myself, then. What if he dies tomorrow? Will it be cool if he's dead?
