Attention New York Democrats: Vote for Sean Patrick Maloney for Attorney General
Look, I don't mean to tell you what to do, but listen to me on this one. First of all, go vote in the primary. It's not enough to plan to vote for the democrat in the general election. As of yesterday, you have just THREE choices in the primary: Mark Green, Andrew Cuomo and the guy you've never heard of.
Let me tell you a few things about the guy you've never heard of:

I met him, I heard him speak and he won me over. It's that simple.
He's smart, passionate and he listens to people. Plus, he can talk to anyone. He's what I like to call a populist progressive. He has a vision for the future and he wants to get everyone on board. He wants a government that serves all of it's people and he takes the idea of being the legal representative of all New Yorkers very, very seriously. He believes in justice, accountability and credibility, ideals that are sorely lacking in our political system.
I'm voting for Sean Patrick Maloney because the day I heard him speak he made me excited about the idea of voting. I haven't felt that since the first time I voted in a presidential election when I was 18. It's time we bring back the kind of leaders that can inspire and motivate us. Maloney can do that.
Please take some time this week to visit Sean Patrick Maloney's Web site and allow him to convince you. In particular, check out the videos section and watch the Maloney Minute and his debate clips. See for yourself.
Oh, and his hero is Atticus Finch. Seriously, do you need another reason?
DON'T FORGET TO VOTE NEXT TUESDAY!
Let me tell you a few things about the guy you've never heard of:

Ok, so those are the vital stats from his candidate bio. But more importantly, let me tell you why I'm voting for him.His name is Sean Patrick Maloney He is running for Attorney General because he believes the office is a key pillar supporting an active and progressive agenda that includes full equality under the law for everyone He served as a senior West Wing advisor to President Clinton, where he became the youngest person ever to serve as the president’s staff secretary He was also the highest-ranking openly gay man ever to serve on the White House staff He is a corporate attorney who has specialized for years in complex criminal and institutional investigations As a pro bono lawyer, he successfully obtained political asylum in the United States for Carlos Kellner, the well-known Honduran labor leader, and represents the family of Matthew Shepard, the victim of one of the nation’s most infamous hate crimes He and his partner of 12 years live in New York City and have adopted three children together

I still haven't forgiven Mark Green for his pandering to the Giuliani crowd after 9/11....
Here's something to add to your list of reasons to vote for him: he's a damn handsome son-of-a-bitch. I mean, the photo provides evidence, but it bears repeating.
No shit...he was in the Post's 25 Hottest New Yorkers last week. Ha!
a handsome gay man with three adopted kids who's hero is atticus finch? he couldn't be any better unless he had a british accent to boot. he's got my vote.
does a vote from seattle count?
"does a vote from seattle count?" It probably would if this were Chicago... --2fs, born in a suburb thereof
Carol,
As a guy who had the privilege of hearing a handsome & smart young senate primary candidate named "Barack Obama" in a tiny little church, I understand exactly what you are saying.
Good luck.

I vote for anything gay! Except Harvey Fierstein in spandex!
Carol,
FYI: Your boy is on Countdown with Keith Olbermann tonight talking about the ABC faux 9-11 docudrama.
Check your local listings for reruns.
