"It'll Bust Your Crank...And Leave Skid Marks on Your Soul!"

The original commercial for Atari's "Pole Position" video game, featuring the hand of God, a yuppie family put in peril, several automotive fatalities and one very cool theme song.

Thanks to Paul and Dan for the heads-up!

Pole Position was my video game of choice at they mall when I was a teenager. Because we followed the cute guy who worked at the Foot Locker and that was the game he played on his breaks. You can see the logic, right?

Was there ever a time when corporate executives wore bright yellow sweater vests and bow ties? And prevented exciting things from happening? I'd say mass layoffs and outsourcing work to third-world sweatshops in exchange for an eight-figure bonus qualifies as "exciting." Evil, but exciting.
