I had a purslane salad this weekend. This is what dictionary.com defines purslane as:

A trailing Asian weed (Portulaca oleracea) having small yellow flowers, reddish stems, and fleshy obovate leaves that are sometimes cooked as a vegetable or used in salads.

Somehow the menu description sounded better. It definitely didn't call it a weed. They did include plenty of olives and feta cheeses. Feta cheese. yum.
