Tonight: Comedy and Music by some of our favorite people

Hey New Yorkers,

Two big shows tonight. First our good friend and fellow DAW columnist Sean Crespo, seen below gesticulating in a manly fashion, is doing a stand-up set at 8:00 at Lolita Bar (266 Broome St. off of Allen St.). Will he tell political jokes? Talk about his dad? Tell a story about his life that will make you feel 100% better about yours? Come on down and find out.

Next, only a couple of blocks away, Pela is kicking off their month-long Monday night residency at 9:00 at the Delancey (168 Delancey btw Clinton and Attorney). This will be one of your first opportunities to hear all of those new songs they've been working on for their upcoming album. If you've never seen them live, or even if you have, I highly suggest you get your ass there. These guys don't mess around...the Delancey will be lucky to still be standing once their set is over.

Let's rock.

So I'm doing the tourist thing Easter weekend. What's throwing down next Saturday and Sunday night so I can sneak out after the family has dozed off?

Can't believe I'm asking the writer of Sally Forth for nightlife tips.
