Camping with Jesus

This past Monday at the first Drink at Work.com Presents... I read aloud the virginity pledge I signed at church camp when I was 13. That got me to thinking about the week I spent at this camp every summer from age 6 to 18... I scoff at it now, but at the time I loved it. Pledge of virginity??? I went to church camps (only for a long weekend) mainly for the chance to pick up women who didn't know me or the stupid things I did on a daily basis. There was no better grouping of frisky teenagers than church camp. Not to mention the finger-banging. God's will, I tells ya.
I'm still wrapping my head around "Center of God's Universe." I'm familiar with a number of pre-Copernican cosmological systems (I'm assuming these folks weren't down with Copernicus and all those radicals who came after him) -- Ptolemy, Dante, Aristotle. I don't think one them even considered that the center of the universe might actually have been in rural Alabama. I wonder what Tycho Brahe would have made of that notion...
