Today's a Birthday

Alas, today is indeed my birthday, officially putting me in my middle-upper thirties. To commemorate/commiserate that fact, here are some AM/FM radio hits from my 70's childhood, courtesy of the great mp3 flashback site Bubblegum Machine:
Beach Baby--First Class
Good Girls Don't--The Knack
Surrender--Cheap Trick
I also refer you to the following Drink at Work.com article:
Things to Accomplish by Age 30 Slightly Modified So That They May Be Achieved by Age 40
And last but not least, I leave you with the actual words my brother Marcello said at his fifth birthday party right before blowing out the candles on his cake:
"It's all going by so fast."

happy birthday!
i remember "good girls don't" and "surrender" is in my iTunes play list daily, but "beach baby" was a trip back. that i never ever expected to take again.
Hooray! You`re numerically older than me again.
Happy Birthday Ces!!
Happy birthday, dude! My birthday is this Saturday (we're the same age), and I plan to spend the day (ahem, weekend) drunkenly convincing myself that the upper-middle thirties is still a young, sexy time of my life.
How did you celebrate?
To Jodi:
Thank you! If "Beach Baby" was too much of a trip back, just think, I could have posted "Beth" by Kiss instead.
To Right:
I hate you, Paul. Oh, and one more birthday shout-out to you. Hopefully when the play is over we can all celebrate our b-days.
To Tracey:
Very happy birthday to a fellow Leo and middle-upper thirty celebrant! May you blot out any ill feelings in a 48-hour inebriated haze of bliss. As for my b-day, Carol took me out for breakfast, dinner and drinks (not all at once). And any time with Carol counts as a great birthday.
Thanks for all the great well-wishes! Hope you had great weekends.
Gotta agree with Jodi -- any way I can get frequent flyer miles for that long trip?
Congrats on reaching the upper 30s. It's not so bad, really. Except that I recently realized that the college students that come into my department now see me as "that old dude" when they see me at the desk. Sigh...
