Just a reminder...



If you happen to be in the NYC area today at 3:30 and are looking for a fun, independent film, make sure to head on over to The Arlene's Grocery Picture Show for the Manhattan premiere of the southern-fried zombie comedy Hide and Creep.

Arlene's Grocery is located at 95 Stanton Street. Admission is free but the memories will be priceless.

Didn't I see that movie as Shawn of the Dead?

No. You might have seen "Shaun of the Dead," which is a very good British film that had a budget of around $4 million. The movie that WE were encouraging people to see is a film that was made at roughly the same time as the aforementioned film; a time when many funny, talented people in many interesting parts of the world were taking their enthusiasm for the zombie genre and making films out of it. However, "Hide and Creep" was made in Alabama for somewhere in the neighborhood of $20K, and while it is funny and also about a zombie attack, it is highly distinguishable from the British comedy and no less worthy of attention.
